Just a heads up, I'll be MIA from the blog and crafting world for a few days. Nate's dad is in town from Duluth for the weekend, so our days will be full of catching up and having fun with family.
I do have one pretty page to share to tide you over until I return. I used many of the same papers and pictures that you have already seen from my Duluth album. The extra little punch out cards from October afternoon were just screaming to be made into a fun little layout like this one:
I'm hoping our weather clears up a little for the weekend so we can barbeque and spend time outdoors as planned. It has been raining for over 24-hours straight which is SUCH a rarity here. Just to give you an idea of how much rain we have had, the Valley area (the Phoenix metro) usually recieves between 5-7 inches of rain a year on average (yes, not much AT ALL, but I do live in a desert afterall!).
We have had so much rain the last three days, that we have already surpassed the total accumulation of rain for 2009 and it's January 21...crazy stuff! Trees are down, streets are flooded and, in Scottsdale, we were under a tornado warning! My first tornado warning since moving here from Nebraska. Rain, tornados, and miserable weather, it feels like I'm back in the Midwest..haha!
But the light at the end of the tunnel is the fact that when the desert blooms this spring, it is sure to be a splendid sight! I can't wait :)
Have a safe and happy weekend! See you next week :)
